To advance through the levels and so become eligible for completing critiques and earning money you need points. These are the 31 ways you can get them:

	Telling us where you found the site (on the sign up page).
	Subscribing to the Ladder Writers RSS feed. Complete the Points Claim form to get the points.

	Completing a short survey about the critique you receive from other Ladder Writers.

Per critique you write. (Level 3+).

	Per month for having a link to Ladder Writers in the signature file on a creative writing forum. Complete the Points Claim form to get the points.
	Making it to the end of one of the Adventure Stories. You may complete one per month.

	For an illustration you've submitted for an Adventure Story.
	For voting in all four categories in the Creative Writing Contests

	For an Adventure Story you've written
	Getting the highest score for critiquing that month (Level 3+ only).

	For proofreading a short story sent to us before being sent to a publisher (Level 5+ only).
	For entering the Bonus round.

	Referring someone who joins and enters a competition.
	Coming up with a competition idea which I use (Level 2+ only).

	Coming up with a site idea which I use (Level 2+ only).
	Entering a competition.
	For every 10 entries you shortlist to 2 (Level 4+ only)

Coming fifth in a competition.
